A
graduate from the Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary
Arts, Kate Baron has a strong passion for food and interest in the integrity
with which it is grown and produced. Baron holds a B.A. in Eastern Religion
and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vermont. Her experience
in food and non-profits began in Kings Beach California where she worked
for 3 years as the Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator for a
Hunger Relief Organization called Project MANA - Making Adequate Nutrition
Accessible. After realizing the poor quality of the food that was being
provided she went back to school to receive a certificate degree in
Nutrition Education and Therapeutic Cheffing. She has been with Marin
Organic since March of 2004 where she acts as the Program Director and Events Coordinator.
