Volunteer Opportunities

Calling all Amazing Marin Organic Volunteers! (or soon-to-be Amazing Marin Organic Volunteers)

Our need for volunteers usually falls into three categories (please see below for Current Volunteer Opportunities):

  1. 1. We can always use a hand in the office (on the computer, managing photos, clipping articles, making signs, etc.)

  2. We often host volunteer days on farms (cleaning garlic, picking olives, weeding, etc.)

  3. We always need volunteers for our events (setting tables for a special dinner, serving wine, making flower bouquets, etc.)

  4. ** Bonus Opportunity, we are currently seeking one or two interns.

If we don’t have anything specifically posted below, please check our Events page for any event you are interested in helping us with and you are also welcome to call the office, 415.663.9667.

Scott Davidson, our School Lunch and Gleaning Program Manager, would be happy to include more folks on a day of gleaning. Please let him know if you are interested and he’ll put you on his email list. (FYI: Farmer’s usually don’t know until Thursday or Friday if they will have extra produce to pick on a Monday)

Bonnie Guttman is the womanpower behind this force and working tirelessly and incredibly, but she is under such high demand and there are so many opportunities that make sense for the Green Zebra to be there and be sold - we simply need more volunteers! Please call Bonnie to arrange it, 415.669.9932. I think there may even be a free Guide in it for you too! Click here for more info about the Green Zebra Guide.

Marin Organic is seeking a Fundraising and Communications Intern with possible stipend, dependent upon experience. Please contact Sheila Foster, our Development Director, to inquire: sheila@marinorganic.org or 415.663.9667.

Community Outreach

Do you enjoy speaking to the public about the benefits of local organic food? If so help represent Marin Organic by setting up outreach tables at farmers markets, festivals, and Marin Organic sponsored events. Volunteers will be asked to speak knowledgeably about Marin Organic, distribute outreach materials, communicate donation possibilities and volunteer opportunities to interested persons, and discuss upcoming events. Please email paige@marinorganic.org if you are interested in this opportunity.
